Prestige Nursing Permanent Recruitment Team – Dedicated to recruiting nurses permanently.

There is a lot of hype about the benefits and rewards of being an Agency Nurse as opposed to you taking a permanent nursing job. All over the news we hear how much the NHS are paying agency nurses to cover shifts. Agency nurses are apparently earning at least twice as much as a Nurse placed into a Permanent Nursing job, but are they? Is this a true reflection? Let’s take a look at the benefits & rewards of taking a permanent nursing job.

Here in the Prestige Permanent Recruitment team, we have over 200 national vacancies live at any one time. We take on the jobs that we know that you nurses want, to suit the specialisms you have and in the environments you wish to work in. We ensure that our clients offer advancement and career progression, are leaders in their fields and therefore desirable to work for. We ensure we attract the jobs with the most competitively salaries. We check that they offer Continual Professional Development so that your nursing career continues on an upward path. We have no jobs advertised that pay less than £25k per annum.

The Nursing and Healthcare Recruitment market is candidate led as you nurses are aware. When your CV appears on the Job Boards, you are inundated with agency calls, which include Prestige! A tip, listen to what they have to say but don’t waste your time, tell the agency what you are looking for and if they cannot assist you and listen to what you want, move on. This is why you must take the time to choose the right permanent nursing job for you and not be pushed into an interview for a job that isn’t right for you.

Let’s breakdown the benefits of taking a permanent nursing job:

Guaranteed Hours – You receive a contract with your Guaranteed Working Hours not a Zero Hour contract. Getting a mortgage or another large financial commitment is not so straight forward – your hours are speculative and not guaranteed income when working as an agency nurse.

Guaranteed Income – You receive the same remuneration plus enhancements every month continually. This income will be reviewed regularly by your employer and will be increased according to inflation and your performance related reviews.

Familiarity -know the Company ethos and exactly who you are working for. You get to know your surroundings & corporate ID you are involved with.

Feel like you belong – As part of a permanent nursing team you will build lasting relationships with the service users, your Co Workers and your colleagues, giving you the important feeling of being part of a valued team.

Your choice in where you work – you select the environment and setting you wish to work in Hospital, Nursing Home, Hospice, Community etc.

Continual professional Development (CPD) and Training – Ongoing training and advancement if you want it, paid for by your employer – as an agency nurse neither the agency nor the facility is obligated to train you (unless specifically indicated in your hiring agreement)

Promotion – leading on from the CPD, you can progress your career once with an organisation you want to be part of. You can apply for internal opportunities as they come up and ensure that you develop your career and take it to that next level it you want to

Take the blinkers off! – As an agency nurse you may be earning twice the hourly rate this week, but what about the weeks and years ahead? Are you progressing as you should be and getting the financial rewards from that next step up? Working in a permanent nursing job will allow you to command the recognition you deserve and make you a much more valuable asset.

If you feel that permanent nursing jobs are the best way forward for you, start your job search with prestige nursing today!
